Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The Civil and Environmental Engineering disciplines play a vital role in people’s lives, perhaps with greater reach than any other engineering discipline. It is of utmost importance to ensure equity and justice for all within the disciplines and to welcome the experiences and knowledge that come with diverse identities. The CEE Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee will lead the department in acknowledging ways that civil and environmental infrastructure can perpetuate social and environmental injustices, and highlighting ways that our disciplines can contribute to a more equitable future. The Committee’s ultimate goal is a culture of tolerance, acceptance and respect that spans our students, postdocs, staff and faculty.
Advancing CEE: ECRSS
The purpose of this program is to highlight exceptional research being led by senior graduate students, postdocs, and assistant professors who are underrepresented in the field.
